Ames Little Cyclones defeated Council Bluffs Lincoln Lynxes 28-21 on Friday in its homecoming game in Ames.
Both teams entered the matchup coming off losses the week before. Ames fell 20-14 to Roosevelt, while Lincoln lost 49-7 to Johnston. The win marked the Little Cyclones’ first of the season, improving their record to 1-5, while Lincoln dropped to 3-3. Ames has now won seven straight against Lincoln, including a 42-13 victory in their last meeting in September 2022.
