A team of 1,931 volunteers spent time last week stenciling, gutting and carving 1,400 pumpkins in preparation for the Spirits in the Gardens event held at Reiman Gardens during the weekend.
The fall event, which features glowing orbs, Hollusion dancing video projections, family activities and demonstrations, has been held since 2007 but started integrating carved pumpkins in 2015. Each pumpkin had a different design.
